"A Descent Into Hell" True Crime Book Discussion
Bright, attractive, and both from good families, University of Texas college student Colton Pitonyak and vibrant redhead Jennifer Cave had the world at their beckoning. "A Descent Into Hell" is the gripping true story of one of the most brutal slayings in University of Texas history. New Concord Branch Library Friends Book Sale
Come join the Friends of the New Concord Branch Library for their annual book sale at the library. There is always a great selection of gently used books and always a few surprises, so, come on out! From 2:00-3:00 the event becomes a buck-a-bag sale with the bags being provided by the Friends. Open to the public.

Ronald McDonald House Card Benefit
Local stampers, and those who would like to learn to stamp, are encouraged to gather together on Saturday, August 7th to help make greeting cards for use at the Central Ohio Ronald McDonald House in Columbus. The cards will be used by families staying at the facility so that they may stay connected to friends and family. A goal of 1000 hand-made cards has been set. The fabulous Tami Black, the event organizer, has generously donated all the materials as well as her expertise. All skill levels are encouraged to participate, ages 16 and up. Volunteers need not stay for the entire session. Let's show central Ohio just how much we care. For more information you can contact Tami Black at 819.4739. Join local fiddler and author Vivian Wagner for a reading from her new book, "Fiddle: One Woman, Four Strings, and 8,000 Miles of Music." Following the reading, Wagner will lead a jam session.
