Teen Read Week
Teens can join in the fun with “books with bite” including very popular titles featuring romantic vampires, scary vampires, funny vampires, and even middle school vampires. Teens are invited to visit their local Muskingum County library for vampire trivia games, and enter a drawing for passes to see the film Twilight based on the book by Stephenie Meyer due out in November.

Pumpkin Decorating Party

MC Passport Wrap-Up and Family Night Program
MC Passport participants and area families are invited to enjoy the Appalachian music of Sweet Mountain Sound. The program is sponsored by National City Bank. Following the program, the MC Passport prize drawing will be held and winners awarded by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce. Prizes include savings bonds sponsored by Century National Bank, National City Bank, and North Valley Bank, as well as donations by area attractions. To register, call 740-453-0391 ext. 115.

Candidates for county, state and national positions have been invited to attend. Each candidate presents an opening statement after which candidates respond to questions submitted in writing by those attending the forum. The Candidates’ Forum is sponsored by the American Association of University Women, the Times Recorder, and hosted by the Muskingum County Library System. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
