Sharon ShortWith one parent deceased and the other mostly drunk, high-school senior Donna is eager to leave her small Ohio town for the glamour of New York City. The year is 1953, and Donna's 10-year-old brother Will forces a change in Donna's plans when he becomes seriously ill. Will has been saving cereal box tops to purchase a deed to one square inch of land in the Alaska Territory and he now wants Donna to take him there. Fearing the loss of another family member, she agrees to the road trip. Who knows what they might find in Alaska - maybe themselves?

Registration for Fall Story Time will open Monday, September 9, 2013. The 8 week Fall Session is scheduled for the week of September 16 through the week of November 4, 2013.
