John McIntire Library
Stop by the Carnegie Wing Gallery on the second floor of John McIntire Library during the month of October to see the work of area artist Sharon Dean.
Inspired by the beauty and history of the often over-looked stained glass windows of the Carnegie Wing Gallery at the John McIntire Library, Sharon Dean of Mystic Sister Studio, chose “Windows” as her concept and focus of her October art exhibit in said gallery. Dean includes many new creations, visually expressing what “Windows” can represent. Physically, metaphorically, and symbolically, she explores the perspectives observed from both the real and virtual boundaries of “Windows” and what might be reflected.
A local artist, teacher, and mother of three, Sharon Dean and partner A.Ray travel the country exhibiting, live painting, and selling her artwork. Her colorful, spirited creations can be found on display at Mystic Sister Studio, Room 510 at the Masonic Temple, the ZAAP Gallery, and in public and private collections across the nation. On social media, follow Mystic Sister Studio on Facebook and Instagram.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, October 5th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. to which the public is invited. The Carnegie Wing Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
