Customer Service Assistant – Dresden Branch
The Muskingum County Library System is seeking a part time Customer Service Assistant for our Dresden Branch. Muskingum County is located in beautiful Southeastern Ohio just 50 miles east of Columbus, Ohio and is the home of Ohio University-Zanesville Campus, Zane State College, and Muskingum University. Location: Dresden Branch is the primary work site. Other branch locations on an as-needed basis.
Salary: $13.62 per hour (17 hours per week, varied schedule)
Closing Date: February 19, 2021
Job Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the Customer Service Assistant will shelve books and other library materials, and maintain orderliness of library stacks. They will perform general customer service functions and substitute for the Customer Service Specialist in their absence.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; availability to work evenings and weekends.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Skill in providing high-quality customer service
- Ability to learn library policies and procedures; ability to alphabetize, file and perform basic clerical tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively; ability to work unsupervised.
- Skill in use of electronic devices such as computers, phones, tablets and eReaders.
