Samantha Maxwell administers employee benefits, ensures the library’s compliance with local, state and federal labor laws, serves as safety compliance officer, handles and advises in resolution of labor grievances, reviews all disciplinary actions, and coordinates staff development, recognition and wellness programs She also screens applicants for employment and facilitates the hiring of qualified individuals to provide exceptional service to library customers.
Prior to her position at MCLS, she worked at Genesis Healthcare System, Orange County Government (Orlando, Florida) and Food Management Investors (Minot, North Dakota). Samantha earned her MSA in Human Resources from Central Michigan University in Minot, North Dakota and her BA in Human Relation in Business from Ohio University in Zanesville, Ohio. She is certified through HRCI as a Professional in Human Resources.
