Sean Fennell, MFA

Marketing & Community Relations Director

Sean leads the marketing and community relations team that showcases the value and impact of the Muskingum County Library System. As the Marketing & Community Relations Director, he manages the MCLS brand, serves as the system’s media representative and coordinator, and oversees public relations, the Carnegie Wing Gallery, and relationships with the Friends of the Library liaison.

He brings experience in marketing, communications, and creative leadership from previous roles with the Licking County Library System, Bucknell University, the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Boulder.

Sean holds an MFA in Visual Art and Digital Media Photography from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA in Studio Art and Art History from Willamette University.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys audiobooks, hiking in nature, making art, and staying involved in the community. He has served on the Convention & Visitors Bureau board, the Chamber of Commerce board, and the Zanesville Kiwanis Club board.
