Stephanie Freas is the Assistant Director of the Muskingum County Library System. She oversees the operations, services, programs, and staff of the six library locations.

Stephanie grew up in Licking County before obtaining a BA in Literary Studies and Creative Writing with a Minor in Philosophy at Otterbein University. She holds a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to her work at MCLS, Stephanie worked at Carlow University, Licking County Library System, and Garfield County Libraries.

Stephanie is dedicated to helping libraries connect more holistically to their communities so that we can better serve our community needs. Her central focus is to support her staff in providing excellent and innovative services to their community through exceptional customer service, dedicated outreach, well-curated collections, and creative community-based programming.

Stephanie is an avid hiker, audiobook listener, and traveler.
