Family Reading Festival
“Every Hero Has a Story”
When & Where is the Family Reading Festival?
The Family Reading Festival is at the John McIntire Library on Saturday, May 13, 10 AM–1 PM.
What is the Family Reading Festival?
The Family Reading Festival is free and open to all, regardless of age! Our mission is to get everyone excited about literacy, and we’re bringing out all the stops to make sure it’s a blast. This year’s theme is “Every Hero Has a Story,” so you’re invited to come dressed up as your favorite superhero!
You can expect to see some of your favorite book characters, including Pete the Cat, Paddington Bear, Rainbow Fish, and even the legendary Taco Dragon! Not to mention, we’ve got some costumed superheroes joining in on the fun too. So, be ready for some awesome photo ops!
The John McIntire Library is going to be decked out in epic superhero decor, so you’ll feel like you’re walking through the pages of a comic book. And don’t forget about the prizes – there are loads of them up for grabs! We’ve got plenty of swag from over 40 local vendors, and if you’re quick enough, you might just snag one of our free bags (while supplies last), just like last year.
But wait, there’s more! We’ve also got food trucks, so you can fuel up while enjoying the festivities.
The Family Reading Festival is brought to you by your Muskingum County Library System and the Muskingum County Literacy Council. So don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of this incredible literary adventure, where every hero has a story!
