Welcome to the
MCLS 2025 Summer Reading Program!
All ages are invited to join us for another exciting summer of reading! Adults can participate on their own, and families are encouraged to enjoy books and activities together.
How it works:
Log minutes, books, activities, and reviews to earn points and unlock badges. You can log them all!
Each badge you earn gives you one ticket for the grand prize drawings. Special Milestone Badges are worth five tickets each. Add your tickets to the grand prize drawings of your choice.
Submit book reviews to earn even more, and your reviews might be featured on our social media pages!

Join the fun with a library bingo challenge for all ages!
Activity:
- Complete a bingo card.
- Turn in your completed card to get the secret code.

Brighten the World with Kindness
Make a difference through small acts of kindness.
Activities:
- Create a Splash: Do something kind—write a note, give a compliment, lend a hand, or share a smile.
- Color Your Community: Help out—pick up litter, donate to charity, or assist someone without being asked.

Art in Every Form
Find inspiration in the world around you and turn it into art.
Activities:
- Explore for Inspiration: Visit a gallery, attend First Friday, discover music, or take a walk—then tell us what you did.
- Create Art from a Book: Make art inspired by a book and bring it to the library to earn your badge code.

Explore the Library in a New Light
Discover all the digital tools your library offers!
Activities:
- Explore a research database on the MCLS website and share something you learned.
- Try a digital download from Libby or hoopla and tell us what you checked out.

Add a Splash of Fun!
Do something that brings you joy—spend time with loved ones or try a new activity. Tell us what you did!
Activity Ideas:

Enjoy time with friends or family: borrow a cookbook, DVD, or board game (try Hues and Cues).

Learn five words in a new language using Duolingo, CultureGrams, Brainfuse, or library resources.

Color Your Creativity (Repeatable)
Explore and express your creativity through art in everyday life. Tell us what you did!
Activity Options:

Color Journal: Pick a color that reflects your mood and express it through writing or art.

Try a New Art Form: Experiment with something creative (drawing, dancing, poetry, etc.) and tell us about it.

Colorful Adventures (Repeatable)
Discover the colors of nature and healthy eating. Tell us what you saw or ate!
Activity Options:

Nature Walk: Go outside and observe the colors around you.

Eat Your Colors: Include at least three different colored fruits or veggies in a meal.

Read, Share, Explore (Repeatable)
Discover new books, formats, and ways to share your love of reading. Tell us what you did!

Take a photo with your current read or MCLS swag and tag @muskingumlib.

Use a library service (e.g., NoveList, hoopla, Comics Plus) or take the What to Read Next quiz.

Try a new book format, genre, or local author.
